Sun hat 2/2

2/2 and even 2/many. Many of these specific. Because they're easy and comfortable to make, so you can sail away with your thoughts without stings of remorse about idleness of hands. Besides - I like their vintage style. Maybe even not only I do, since the ladies on fairs tried them on just to see themselves in a hat like this. A small thing, but makes a radical change to the face look and context. Pattern: http://wzoryszydelkowe.blogspot.com Starched and dried on the pot and plywood :) If they are later kept away from the water, they are doing very well. Some of them found new home already, some are still waiting - maybe for you? :)

Again Catania Fine cotton proved itself. Tena from Ören Bayan / Madame Tricot Paris also was not bad. Once the polyester fibres were pulled out, only the cotton strands remainde. The thread is a little loose, but it makes it more susceptible to the starch. Crochet hook size: 2,3 mm.

Sun hat 1/2

Since this is the first entry, I would like to be able to say "this is how it all began!". It would be a nice start. Nice and retro! But it all began so long ago that I don't remember how. And this hat I'm just fond of. It was created with the pattern of invaluable Polish mine: http://wzoryszydelkowe.blogspot.com. It remains only to regret that the starch melts in the rain, making it difficult to gambol in the hat unlimitedly :)

Crochet hook size 2,3 mm, 100% cotton: Schachenmayr, Catania Fine - we've liked each other a lot since this occasion (it has strong, nice looking thread, with little shine and quite good size for hats like that). It's a pitty it somehow occurs rarely in my neighbourhood. Also there are not many colours of it, but they're really pretty.
